Ancient writing carries on today
Oracle bone writing was the beginning of Chinese character writing, which continues to this day. Known in Chinese as 甲骨文 (Jia Gu Wen), such writing dates from the Bronze Age (Shang dynasty) of about 1500 B.C.E.
